Stone Cold Fred (SCF) comes out with us for his maiden voyage, cracks his cherry in The Big O at Horsfal and wont stop whinin' about it.  Now Crash and Yamachick are there as well as Zippy Nippy and Texaco Jo. We also bring DT and Duh-g to round out our red and white colors.

For the first few years, everytime we went to The Big O (Oregon), we almost laughed at what ever weather we'd seen on the way. Hell, we had snow in Eugene once, only to have clear skies and powder on the dunes. I dunno what the heck you Americans been doin with your weather down there, but the last 3 trips we woulda been better off havein scuba gear then ATV's...... However, even a rainy day in the dunes is better then a sunny day at work so it is what it is.

So Crash and Yamachick bring Mini-me with them and Mini-me's friend Tumble. While SCF is attempting to keep his rail together for longer than a single flight, I introduced Tumble to the ways of the Mighty YFZ - no point in startin out slow here. Well, Tumble aint but 70 pounds and havin her strapped onto 50+ horses of modified YFZ (mine) is kinda a humorous sight. At her expense of course, but we break em in hard here at Team Xtreme. I must admit, I was suitably impressed with Tumble - she tumbled a few times - and never whined (not as much as Fred anyway) - and always got back on, bruised battered and wiser, to tackle the next dune. If there ever was a natural, it'd be this chick. That said, and if I don't give honorable mention to Mini-me's other rider PyschoChick who couldn't make it this time, I'll lose parts of my body very special to me - so yeah, PsychoChick, you rock too - just maybe not as much as Tumble (tee hee).

So what the hell? I'm surrounded by ATV riding women now. Perhaps it's my charming personality? My dashing good looks? Perhaps the SIZE of my ATV? I may never know. However, seeing as even 10 years ago this was considered a guy's sport - man-land, It's sure refreshing to see this sport become the family activity that it is today. Men, women, children of all ages can find a safe, enjoyable place in this sport where the can truely enjoy themselves and begin a lifelong passion that I understand intimately.

So that said, I'll slide my soapbox to the side and share with you some random images from the last go-round to The Big-O.

Enjoy.
